Mentoring
WHYThere are over 1 million unemployed Veterans. Each year over 245,000 Veterans transition out of the military. Approximately 40% of those held military roles which are comparable to that of a civilian Project Manager.
WHATWe help to fill the gaps with culture, language, and expectations. What is the military translation for WBS, Critical Path, or Schedule float? What are expectations on a resume or during an interview?
WHOServicemembers, Veterans or Military Spouses seeking to establish a career in Project Management. For Mentors, you should be a Project Manager who is willing to volunteer your time to serve those who served us.
We are a helping hand, but not a handoutThe Mentoring program is not a guarantee for a job. Our Mentors help prepare Proteges so when the opportunity arises the Veteran is prepared. We offer resume advice, interview preparation, networking skills, and sometimes just an ear to listen. Each mentoring relationship is unique to the individuals involved so all experiences are different. You will get out what you put in.
